CloudSigma would like to inform you that the Storage Node System Upgrade maintenance has been completed successfully.

All support activities were conducted under the direct supervision of CloudSigma’s devops staff.

IMPACT:
During the maintenance all running VM’s have been paused for about 15 minutes in total. Customers may have observed a temporary increase in I/O waits and might have seen their machines and/or drives as Unavailable during the paused period.

Due to some issues noticed in the past day which causes some VMs to freeze we need to perform the maintenance now. We are sorry for the short notice but it’s a case of emergency. Anyway it is anticipated that will solve the issues noticed recently.

Maintenance will be performed on the storage systems at the Honolulu node. This maintenance will upgrade some components, increasing maximum performance levels of the SSD-based systems.

All support activities will be conducted under the direct supervision of CloudSigma’s operations staff.

IMPACT:
All running VM’s will be paused for a short period of time. Customers may observe a temporary increase in I/O waits and might see their machines and/or drives as Unavailable during the paused period. Although the maintenance window is one hour, VMs are not expected to be paused for more than 10-15 minutes. No specific action is required from customers with regards to this maintenance and you will receive an update once the maintenance has been completed successfully.

The previous maintenance has been postponed as the data copying procedure needed to successfully complete the storage upgrade has been slower than originally anticipated. The new timing will allow extra time for the system to be fully replicated.
