CloudSigma would like to inform you that due to the recent issues with the storage nodes, we will be performing an upgrade which will solve the stability issues seen recently. The upgrade was applied in our datacenter in Zurich 2.0 already and was successful. It includes hardware and software upgrades. Also we've been developing and testing different scenarios in order to minimize/prevent any service disruptions. After the tests we've found that the lowest risk and fastest execution to upgrade is:
(1) Prepare the upgrade by adding in new storage boxes
(2) Copy old storage boxes data to new storage boxes
(3) Pause the VMs with drives on old storage
(4) Copy incremental old storage boxes data to new storage boxes while VMs are paused
(5) Bring VMs back from pause

This will prevent data corruption and will minimize the downtime, which will be a maximum of 10 minutes.

All support activities will be conducted under the direct supervision of CloudSigma’s operations staff.

IMPACT:
During the maintenance some VMs will be paused for a maximum of 10 minutes but it is anticipated that it will solve the stability issues seen recently.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the caused inconveniences.

Thank you for your understanding.

We appreciate your patience and welcome any feedback.
