Scheduled
CloudSigma would like to inform you that we will be performing a scheduled network maintenance in our Zurich cloud location. The purpose of the maintenance is deploying another router from our new solution which we have deployed a month ago. This router upgrade includes traffic shaping against packet floods and the routers themselves have at least ten times the packet processing capability of our current routers. This change is expected to continue to improve our defences against DDOS and other malicious traffic types that can cause short interruptions in network availability in April.

This planned maintenance is not service affecting. No impact is expected for running VMs, storage nodes or internal network connections.

All support activities will be conducted under direct supervision by CloudSigma’s operations staff.

IMPACT:
During the maintenance there will be no impact on running VMs, storage nodes and network connections. We are going to use master/slave model for smooth switch between the routers.

The maintenance will be in two stages. In the first one we will be adding physically another router to our infrastructure. In the second stage we will be moving one of our Uplink lines to it.

While it is important for CloudSigma to perform maintenance such as this to ensure the quality of our services, we try to do everything possible to minimize any inconvenience to our customers. We appreciate your patience and welcome any feedback.
